Hearing on Objections and Suggestions to Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation’s Draft Ward Structure Completed
Hearing conducted on objections received for 32 wards in the city

Pimpri Chinchwad | The hearing on objections and suggestions received on the draft ward structure released by Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation was held today at the Auto Cluster auditorium in Chinchwad. The process was conducted under the chairmanship of Cooperative and Marketing Department Principal Secretary and Authorized Officer Pravin Darade.
Additional Municipal Commissioner Vijaykumar Khorate, Assistant Commissioner of Election Department Avinash Shinde, and Chief Engineer Pramod Ombhase carried out the proceedings of the hearing. Also present were Deputy City Engineer Manoj Sethiya, Bapu Gaikwad, Anil Bhalsakale, Assistant Town Planning Director Prashant Shimpi, Deputy Commissioner Anna Bodade, Chief Security Officer Uday Jarande, IT Officer Vijay Borude, Assistant Commissioner Mukesh Kolap, Special Officer Kiran Gaikwad, and others.
Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation had announced the draft structure of 32 wards on 22nd August 2025. The draft ward maps were published on the municipal corporation’s website and also displayed at the municipal headquarters for public information. Citizens were given time until 3 p.m. on Thursday, 4th September 2025 to file objections and suggestions. Accordingly, the received objections and suggestions were heard ward-wise in phases today.
During the hearing, objectors also submitted additional points in line with their earlier objections. Each objection will be decided after considering the objection, the statement presented during the hearing, government directives, and the actual situation. Thereafter, the final ward structure will be submitted to the government for approval.
Ward-wise Hearing Schedule Declared
For the hearing on objections received to the draft ward structure, objectors were given prior intimation and requested to remain present. Accordingly, based on ward and objection numbers, the time was communicated to them, and the schedule of the hearing was announced.
As per the schedule, at 1 p.m. the objections for ward numbers 1, 2, 11, and 12 were heard; at 2 p.m. the objections for ward numbers 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 14, and 20; at 3 p.m. the objections for ward numbers 10 and 11; and at 4 p.m. the objections for ward numbers 23, 24, 25, 26, 29, 31, and 32 were taken up for hearing.
