D. Y. Patil PGDM Institute Welcomes New Batch at Induction Ceremony 2026–28
Pune | D. Y. Patil PGDM Institute, Akurdi, Pune, hosted the Induction Ceremony for its new batch of PGDM students for the academic year 2026–28 on August 19, 2026. The ceremony marked the formal beginning of the students’ two-year journey in management education, with a focus on learning, leadership, professional development and industry readiness.
The event brought together senior industry professionals and academicians who interacted with the incoming students and shared insights on the evolving business environment, professional expectations and the importance of developing a strong foundation for a successful career.
The ceremony was presided over by Mr. Anil Agnihotri, Country HR Director – India, Faurecia, who attended as the Chief Guest.
The Guests of Honour included Prof. (Dr.) Capt. Chandrashekhar Chitale, Former Head, Department of Management Sciences (PUMBA), Savitribai Phule Pune University; Mr. Ravinder Pal Singh, Director – Software Engineering, Amdocs; and Mr. Rahul Dabi, Deputy General Manager – Human Resource & People Services, ŠKODA AUTO Volkswagen India Private Limited.
The distinguished guests shared their perspectives and encouraged students to approach their management education with curiosity, discipline and a strong orientation towards continuous learning. Their interaction with the students highlighted the importance of bridging academic knowledge with practical industry requirements.
The programme was also supported by the institute’s leadership, including Rear Admiral Amit Vikram (Retd.), Campus Director, Dr. D. Y. Patil Educational Complex, and Dr. Shalaka Parker, Director, D. Y. Patil PGDM Institute, whose guidance continues to contribute to the institute’s academic and professional development initiatives.
