A New Era Begins in Indian Cricket; ‘Sehwag-Dravid’ Duo Set to Reunite in U-19 Series Against Australia, Squads Announced

New Delhi | A new chapter is set to begin in Indian cricket as the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced India’s Under-19 squads for the upcoming series against Australia. The Australian Under-19 team will tour India for a series comprising three One-Day matches and two multi-day games. The Indian squads for both formats have now been announced.

The Indian U-19 team will play a three-match unofficial One-Day series against Australia from September 18 to 23. While Australia had announced its squad earlier, India have now named their team as well. The biggest highlight of the selection is the possibility of seeing the legendary ‘Sehwag-Dravid’ combination on the cricket field once again after several years.

Virender Sehwag’s son Aryavir Sehwag and Rahul Dravid’s son Anvay Dravid have both been selected in the Indian squad. Lakshya Raichandani has been appointed captain, while Yashvardhan Chauhan will serve as vice-captain.

Lakshya Raichandani (Captain), Yashvardhan Chauhan (Vice-Captain), Rajat Baghel, Aryavir Sehwag, V.K. Vineet, Kushagra Ozha, Arjun Rajput, Manal Chauhan, Anvay Dravid, V. Yashveer, Rohit Yadav, Shavin Vinod, Mohit Ulwa, Chigurupati Venkata and Kavya Patel.

Australia U-19 squad:

Casey Barton, Hayden Barbulovic, Eli Brain, Will Byrom, Blake Cattell, Jack Josnek, Spencer Green, Connor Gregory, Charlie Henderson, Jed Hollick, Matthew Lough, Neil Patel, Jacob Peetz, Patrick Sullivan, Theo Singos and Thomas Vassio.

  • 2nd One-Day: September 21, 2026 — 9:30 AM
