The world’s tallest and most magnificent full-body statue of Dharmaveer Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, called the “Statue of Hindubhushan”, is being erected in Pimpri-Chinchwad—an awe-inspiring monument that will be admired globally. The saffron flag is a symbol of valor and pride, and to honor this flag and the sacrifice of Shambhuraje, Maharashtra is set to witness the state’s largest traditional drum-and-cymbal tribute—a historic and thunderous ceremony.
At Borhade Wadi, Moshi, on the land of the Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA), the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation and the State Government have approved the construction of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj’s full-body statue and Shambhu Srushti. This grand memorial is being built under the guidance of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, conceptualized by MLA and President of the Hindubhushan Memorial Trust, Mahesh Landge.
In Maharashtra, the traditional celebration of drums and cymbals holds a special place. During Ganeshotsav, declared as a ‘State Festival,’ drum and cymbal groups captured the attention of the entire country. Carrying forward this tradition and culture, the Drum & Cymbal Federation resolved to pay tribute to the world’s tallest statue—the “Statue of Hindubhushan.” Accordingly, on Sunday, 14th September 2025 at 3 PM, at the Dharmaveer Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj International Industrial Exhibition Center, Moshi, this historic tribute ceremony will be held. Furthermore, on 2nd October 2025, the ceremonial worship (Shastra Poojan) of the sword of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj’s statue will take place, informed Ganesh Bhujbal, Vice President of Hindubhushan Memorial Trust.
Appeal to Shiv-Shambhu Devotees…
This tribute of drums and cymbals will be dedicated to the unparalleled and historic work of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, founder of Hindavi Swarajya, and his valiant son Dharmaveer Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. Through this tribute, their struggles for Swarajya and the protection of Dharma will be remembered. The Hindubhushan Memorial Trust has resolved to spread the legacy and ideals of Shivaji and Sambhaji Maharaj across the world.
Excitement among devotees of Shiv-Shambhu has reached its peak for this event, as a truly historic and thunderous tribute with 3,000 drums, 1,000 cymbals, and 500 saffron flags will take place. Spectacular songs based on the glorious history of the Marathas will also be showcased. The Drum & Cymbal Federation and Hindubhushan Memorial Trust have appealed to everyone to participate in this historic event as “disciples of Shivaji Maharaj and Sambhaji Maharaj’s ideals.”
