In the Jule Solapur area, there are around fifteen to twenty thousand Maratha families. All community members have been urged to ensure that at least one person from each household participates in the Mumbai agitation. It was also decided in the meeting that those who own vehicles should provide their four-wheelers. Maratha community members residing in this area have been urged to gather at Govindshri Mangal Karyalaya on Thursday (28th) at 11 a.m.
Preparations in Villages
Protesters from villages will travel to Mumbai with two-wheelers and four-wheelers along with arrangements for accommodation and cooking. In many villages, arrangements have been made to cook in tractors. Over the past few days, preparations have been underway in the villages to go to Mumbai. Significantly, protesters have collected money in the form of contributions to cover travel expenses. Along with the Maratha community, philanthropists from other communities are also coming forward to provide vehicles and financial support. Considering the ongoing preparations in villages, it is being speculated that this march could bring Mumbai to a standstill.
