Team India defeated New Zealand national cricket team in the final to win the championship for the second consecutive time. Under the leadership of captain Suryakumar Yadav, the Indian team delivered an impressive performance throughout the tournament and secured the historic title.

During the post-match celebrations on the field, Hardik Pandya was seen celebrating and dancing with his alleged girlfriend Mahika Sharma. Videos of the celebration quickly went viral across social media platforms.

Allegation of wrapping the national flag
According to the complaint, Pandya was seen wrapping the Indian national flag around his body while celebrating. The complainant claims that this act violates the rules related to the respect and proper handling of the national flag.

Complaint lodged in Pune
Advocate Wajid Khan has filed a complaint at Shivajinagar Police Station. The complaint cites Section 2 of the Prevention of Insults to National Honour Act, 1971 and demands legal action against the cricketer.

Police begin inquiry
Although the incident reportedly took place in Ahmedabad, the complainant told the police that the national flag represents the entire country and therefore a complaint can be registered at any police station. Following this, police have accepted the complaint and initiated a preliminary inquiry.
