Alandi | Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj expressed the feeling of welfare of the entire universe through Pasaydan. This universal thought from the Dnyaneshwari is the root of Indian culture and is a guiding light to the world, stated Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.

He was speaking at the golden Kalasharohan ceremony held at Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj’s Samadhi temple on the occasion of the septcentennial golden birth anniversary year of Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj. On this occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Rural Development Minister Jaykumar Gore, Deputy Chairperson of Legislative Council Dr. Neelam Gorhe, Principal District & Sessions Judge Mahendra Mahajan, H.B.P. Maruti Maharaj Kurekar, H.B.P. Narayan Maharaj Jadhav, MP Shrirang Barne, MLA Uma Khapre, Bapusaheb Pathare, Mahesh Landge, Babaji Kale, Devendra Pote and others were present.

Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said that the credit of preserving the ancient values of our culture goes to the Warkari tradition. As this tradition of thoughts was carried forward to the next generations, though we accepted political slavery during foreign invasions, we never accepted intellectual slavery. The Warkari tradition and saints created unity in a society divided by caste and religion. Through Dnyaneshwari, Mauli gave this very teaching. In his short lifespan of 21 years, the thoughts given by him continue to guide us for centuries. That is why, upon coming to the Samadhi temple, one gains an energy—an energy to do good work, he said. The pure flow of thoughts and philosophy makes Indian civilization the oldest civilization in the world, which has been accepted globally, he added.

Extending greetings of Shri Krishna Janmashtami, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said, just as Lord Yogeshwar narrated the Gita to guide Arjun on the path of karma, today on this auspicious day, the golden Kalash has been installed on the Samadhi temple of Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj who interpreted the Gita in Marathi. The golden Kalash has been installed not with donations but with devotion and dedication from the devotees. Along with the golden Kalash, the restoration of the Mahadwar built by Mahadji Shinde has been undertaken, giving it its original form and enhancing the sanctity of the temple premises.

The philosophy of the Bhagavad Gita is the best philosophy in the world and is being accepted globally. The knowledge imparted by Mauli through 9,000 ovi (verses) will soon be available in the form of audiobooks in all languages, thus reaching the world, expressed the Chief Minister.

Spread the Thoughts of Dnyaneshwari to the New Generation through Short Audio Clips – Eknath Shinde

Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said, devotees enter the temple through the Mahadwar while chanting the name of Mauli. The Warkari tradition is very great, and installing the golden Kalash on the Samadhi temple while carrying forward this tradition is a significant event. With the contribution of devotees, everyone got the fortune of witnessing this moment. For the Warkaris, Dnyanoba is breath itself, and Alandi is their Kashi. Known as Alankapuri, Alandi holds great importance for Marathi culture and the Bhagwat faith. Today, through a new website, the noble initiative of promoting Dnyaneshwari audiobooks has been undertaken to carry forward the tradition of spreading Bhagwat philosophy. By preparing two-to-three-minute audio clips of Dnyaneshwari ovi, this thought should be effectively carried forward to the next generation, he appealed.

Eknath Shinde further said, during foreign invasions, the Warkari tradition and saints kept the Bhagwat faith alive. The Warkari sect is a great force that guides society on the righteous path, and hence, no one could destroy our culture. Saints at such times instilled noble thoughts in society. Sant Dnyaneshwar imparted teachings of karma, knowledge, righteousness, ethics, and devotion, through which society gained a broad outlook. Even centuries later, Mauli, like an eternal and sacred fire sacrifice, continues to give energy and inspiration to the world. Therefore, while entering through this Mahadwar, arrogance and ego will fall away, and devotees will experience purity, he said. He also assured full cooperation for the Alandi development plan.

Yogi Niranjananath gave the introductory information about the ceremony. He informed that solar energy has been introduced in the Samadhi temple.

The golden Kalash worship was performed at the hands of Chief Minister Fadnavis, and the website of Shri Dnyaneshwar Maharaj Sansthan Committee, which makes the Dnyaneshwari (Saarth) audiobooks available in various languages, was inaugurated. The 22 kg golden Kalash, prepared from the contributions of devotees, was installed on the Samadhi temple. Deputy Chief Minister Shinde performed the worship to commence the restoration of the Mahadwar. At the hands of dignitaries, the contributors to the golden Kalash and Mahadwar were felicitated.

On this occasion, Chief Trustee of Shri Dnyaneshwar Maharaj Sansthan Committee Adv. Rajendra Umap, Dr. Bhavarth Dekhne, Yogi Niranjan Nath, Adv. Rohini Pawar, Chaitanya Kabir, Purushottam Patil, and others were present.
