After ‘Beloved Sister’, Now ‘Beloved Daughter-in-law’ Campaign; Announcement by Deputy CM Eknath Shinde

Mumbai | Before the Assembly elections, when he was the Chief Minister, Eknath Shinde’s government had launched the Ladki Bahin (Beloved Sister) scheme, which received a huge response from women. This scheme brought massive success to the Mahayuti alliance in the elections. Within a short span, the scheme became popular across the state. Against this backdrop, now Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has made another important announcement. Speaking at a program organized by former Mayor Meenakshi Shinde in Thane, Shinde declared the launch of the Ladki Sun (Beloved Daughter-in-law) campaign.
Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde inaugurated this campaign in Thane on Sunday. “From today, we are starting a new campaign. It is important for beloved daughters-in-law. In-laws are not always bad, but in some limited cases, unpleasant incidents do occur. Just like our daughters are beloved, daughters-in-law too should be beloved. For this purpose, Shiv Sena has started a helpline,” said Eknath Shinde.
“Those daughters-in-law who face problems should not be afraid to call this number. The information they provide will be kept confidential. Through the Ladki Sun campaign, security will be given to troubled daughters-in-law. Daughters-in-law too are my beloved sisters. Eknath Shinde is their brother. If anyone commits injustice or atrocities against them, then they will have to deal with Shiv Sena,” Shinde added.
“Women do everything for their families, but they often neglect their own health. Therefore, to ensure regular health checkups, with the initiative of Thane Municipal Corporation and Rotary Club, the Deputy CM Healthy Women Campaign has been launched. More and more women should take benefit of this campaign,” appealed Eknath Shinde.
