Bhimashankar | On the sacred occasion of the last Monday of the holy month of Shravan, Shri Kshetra Bhimashankar—one of the twelve revered Jyotirlingas—was filled with an overwhelming wave of devotion to Lord Shiva. From the early hours of the morning, thousands of devotees thronged the temple for darshan, their chants of “Har Har Mahadev” and “Om Namah Shivaya” echoing across the hills and valleys.

At 5 a.m., the traditional rituals of dugdhabhishek (milk offering), grand aarti, and shankhnad (conch blowing) were performed on the holy Shiva Lingam, immersing the atmosphere in spiritual fervor. On this special day, MLA Mahesh Landge also performed the sacred abhishek of Lord Shiva, offering prayers for the well-being of the people.

The sanctum sanctorum (garbhagriha) and the main hall (sabhamandap) of the Bhimashankar temple were adorned with vibrant garlands and floral decorations, enhancing the festive spirit. Throughout the day, a continuous flow of devotees lined up patiently for darshan, as the entire shrine and its surroundings resonated with devotion and spirituality.
