CM’s Solutions Include Underpasses, Alternative Roads, and Strict Metro Deadlines for Hinjewadi Issues
Pimpri Chinchwad | For an international-grade IT hub like Hinjewadi, strong roads, public transport, and proper planning are crucial. With this perspective, in the near future, the area will see the construction of underpasses, alternative roads, and a strict adherence to the metro project deadline. Thanks to instructions from Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to coordinate all efforts through a single-point authority via the Divisional Commissioner, there is an optimistic outlook for resolving Hinjewadi’s problems.

To highlight the growing civic and traffic issues in Hinjewadi IT Park, representatives from the IT Forum and Society Federation met with Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar at the Vidhan Bhavan on Thursday. This important meeting was organized under the initiative of BJP MLA Mahesh Landge. Attendees included Sachin Londhe from the IT Forum, Sanjeevan Sangle from the Society Federation, Amey Jagtap of Baner-Balewadi Resident Association, Sarang Wable, and Pawanjit Mane of Mahalunge Resident Association, among others.
Vision for the Future- Mane
Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has listened carefully to the residents, employees, and entrepreneurs of Hinjewadi. For the first time, all responsible departments were brought together in a joint meeting where all issues were discussed openly. There was no delay or avoidance in addressing the concerns of entrepreneurs, employees, and citizens, which has created a hopeful atmosphere. The deadline for completing the metro work by the end of December has offered relief regarding traffic congestion in Hinjewadi IT Park.
‘Fast-Track’ Traffic Solutions for Hinjewadi- Jagtap
Amey Jagtap of Baner-Balewadi-Pashan Residents Association said that Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis convened a meeting with all responsible departments, bringing them face-to-face for the first time. This helped identify exactly where the problems lie. On-the-spot discussions addressed jurisdictional disputes, land acquisition, and incomplete work. A fast-tracked, time-bound plan will be implemented to develop the proposed roads and infrastructure in Hinjewadi IT Park.
Hopeful Prospects from Proposed Alternative Roads- Wable
Sarang Wable of Baner-Balewadi-Pashan Residents Association stated that the Baner, Balewadi, and Pashan areas are deeply entangled in traffic jams. A trip that should take ten minutes often stretches to one and a half to two hours. This was brought to the Chief Minister’s attention, with an urgent call for immediate solutions. The Chief Minister has proposed reserving and developing a 30-meter wide alternative road from Surya Hospital via Wakad route to Hinjewadi Phase 3 within the PMRDA limits.
Scheduled Programs Will Resolve Issues- Sangle
Sanjeevan Sangle, President of Chikhli-Moshi Society Federation, expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis for promptly taking meetings on many problems faced by entrepreneurs in Hinjewadi and Pimpri-Chinchwad. For the first time, all responsible departments have come together for coordinated problem-solving discussions. With alternative roads, underpasses, flyovers, and the metro project, the concerns of employees, entrepreneurs, and residents in Hinjewadi will definitely be addressed. The meeting was organized swiftly through MLA Mahesh Landge, allowing direct presentation of issues to the Chief Minister. Most importantly, the appointment of a single authority with a strict timeline by the Chief Minister has created a hopeful outlook for the future.
