India Is Shaping Next 1,000 Years: PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that India is not a nation that makes decisions in haste, asserting that every major step taken by the country is guided by a long-term vision aimed at shaping the next 1,000 years of its future.

Addressing a conference, Modi highlighted India’s civilizational depth and historical experience, stating that the country has witnessed and endured both development and destruction over centuries. He said India’s decision-making process is rooted in lessons accumulated across generations.

“Whatever India is doing today is with the next 1,000 years in mind. India is writing the future of the next millennium, and that is the biggest guarantee India offers to the world,” the Prime Minister said.

His remarks come at a time when geopolitical tensions continue to persist across West Asia and several regions of the world. Modi emphasized that India is not only one of the fastest-growing economies but also an increasingly trusted and reliable global power.

Referring to his recent participation in the G7 Summit, the Prime Minister said world leaders increasingly recognize and appreciate India’s commitment to the principle of “Nation First.”

According to Modi, India’s growing global credibility is closely linked to this approach. He noted that every major policy decision taken by his government over the last 12 years has been driven by national interest and long-term development goals.

‘Nation First’ At The Core Of Every Decision

Highlighting the government’s achievements, Modi said India has successfully implemented transformative initiatives such as the Swachh Bharat Mission, Make in India, promotion of Khadi, and support for locally manufactured products because citizens embraced the spirit of putting the nation first.

“Nation First is the biggest mantra and guiding principle for today’s India,” he said, while thanking citizens for actively participating in national development efforts.

The Prime Minister noted that his government recently completed 12 years in office and said an assessment of its work would reveal that the principle of national interest has remained central to every policy, programme and initiative.

Tribal Regions Witness Major Transformation

Modi also pointed to changes in tribal regions as an example of how the “Nation First” approach has influenced governance and policy implementation.

He said several tribal and remote areas had remained affected by Maoist violence for decades, which hampered the delivery of basic government services and development projects. Despite multiple governments and generations passing, local communities continued to struggle with a lack of opportunities.

According to the Prime Minister, significant progress has now been made in reducing Maoist influence and improving governance in these regions.

“The decline of Maoism and terrorism in these areas is a remarkable achievement that cannot be underestimated,” Modi said.

The Prime Minister reiterated that India’s development journey is being guided by long-term national priorities and a vision that extends far beyond immediate political cycles, positioning the country as a stable and trusted force on the global stage.
