There are deep concerns about the Indian democratic system in recent years. Democracy is not limited to elections alone; it also heavily relies on principles like transparency and accountability. Concerns have been raised regarding the extent to which these values are being upheld. Concerns surrounding recent events, such as unfair election practices , including reports of sudden vote deletion before voting, have become matters of concern. Additionally, concerns regarding the independence and impartiality of sections of the media have become increasingly common. Critics argue that when media organizations appear too closely aligned with those in power, their ability to hold authorities accountable may be weakened. This has led to a gradual rise in public distrust of the media.

Yet no section of society bears the weight of these challenges more than the youth of the country. If democracy is the backbone of India, youth is its heartbeat. Our country’s future depends on its youth. And yet, the state of Indian youth presents a troubling contrast to the nation’s aspirations for progress and development. Recent controversies such as NEET ,TET have shaken students’ faith and confidence in the fairness and Transparency of the system involved in organizing such important examinations. For many aspirants, years of relentless hard work appeared vulnerable to irregularities beyond their control, raising serious concerns about merit and equal opportunity.

The youth showed their frustration in different ways, through agitations, mass pradarshans and sometimes hunger strike or social media campaigns to attract attention of authorities . But they feel that these has not been given much importance and recognition adding to their anger and sometimes frustration,so the youth expects a deeper structural improvement and strong leakproof system to serve them better for such important aspects of their career and valuable time.

Together, these concerns paint a picture of a nation grappling with questions of trust, fairness, and opportunity. The true measure of India’s progress will not be found in economic achievements alone, but also in the strength of its democracy and the confidence of its youth. Only by strengthening accountability, transparency, and equal opportunity can India transform its promises into reality.
