Mandatory Hindi Decision Revoked; MNS Celebrates in Pimpri

Pimpri | The Government of Maharashtra has officially revoked its decision to impose Hindi as a compulsory third language in primary school education. This announcement has been met with widespread approval across the state. The Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) welcomed this historic decision by organizing a grand celebration at the Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Memorial in Pimpri.
Addressing the gathering, MNS City President Sachin Chikhale said:
“Saint Dnyaneshwar Maharaj once proclaimed, ‘Majhya Marathi chi bolu kaoutuke, amritapeksha paij jinke’ (Let us praise my Marathi—it wins over even nectar). This beautifully highlights the importance of the Marathi language. We will never allow any attempt to replace Marathi. The Thackeray brothers had announced a mega protest march against the imposition of Hindi on July 5. Considering the massive public support for this march, the rising opposition, and the likelihood of large-scale protests, the ruling Mahayuti government was forced to reverse its decision.
This is a major victory for linguistic identity and people’s power in Maharashtra. Language should never be enforced. The attempt to impose a language on Maharashtra’s students has ultimately bowed to the will of the people. This victory belongs to the entire state.”
Following this backdrop, MNS activists celebrated with firecrackers and sweets at Pimpri Chowk in the evening. They distributed laddoos and pedhas to citizens, creating an atmosphere filled with joy and pride.
Present at the event were several MNS office-bearers and activists, including-
Seema Belapurkar, Bal Danavle, Manoj Landge, Rupesh Patekar, Datta Devtarase, Aditi Chawaria, Vaishali Nizampurkar, Vaishnavi Pandit, Vidya Kulkarni, Shrikant Patil, Ganesh Shinde, Rajesh Avasare, Nitin Chavan, Nitin Suryawanshi, Goraksh Madane, Hanuman Ugle, Suryakant Kale, Akash Sagare, Raju Bhalerao, Devendra Nikam, Natha Shinde, Sakharam Matkar, Narayan Pathare, Jaysing Bhatt, Sanjay Markad, Rohit Thorat, Tukaram Shinde, Mayur Hajare, Anna Kapse, Akash Chavan, Sharanya Patne, Jay Sakat, Vicky Kamble, Umesh Shingare, Vijay Maske, Prabuddha Kamble, and many others.
