CME Wall-Affected 14 Families Get Rehabilitation in Dighi

Pimpri-Chinchwad | Representative | In a major relief for residents of Dighi, the long-pending rehabilitation issue of 14 families affected by road work near the College of Military Engineering (CME) wall has finally been resolved. The breakthrough comes after consistent follow-up, coordination, and efforts by BJP MLA Mahesh Landge.

After completing all necessary administrative procedures, the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) recently distributed official housing allotment letters to the affected families. The letters were handed over by Deputy Commissioner Anna Boddade, marking a crucial step toward securing permanent homes for the displaced residents. Following the completion of legal agreements, the families are expected to receive possession of their houses soon.

The development has brought immense joy among the affected families, who had been waiting for years for a resolution. Celebrations were witnessed as residents shared sweets and expressed gratitude for finally securing their rightful homes.

Officials have acknowledged that MLA Mahesh Landge’s proactive role and persistent engagement with the administration played a decisive role in resolving the issue. His approach emphasized that development should not come at the cost of displacing citizens without proper rehabilitation.

Former corporator Vikas Dolas was also present during the distribution process. The initiative highlights a balanced approach toward urban development while ensuring justice and protection of citizens’ rights. The decision has created a positive atmosphere in the Dighi area, with residents expressing heartfelt thanks to the local leadership.
