Goa (Varca Beach): A major international business conference held at The Zuri White Sands Resort & Casino has opened new global investment avenues for Goan and Konkani entrepreneurs, focusing on high-potential opportunities in Phuket. The initiative was jointly led by Dr. Sunil Vinayak Manjrekar, Global President of the Gulf Maharashtra Business Forum, and Thai entrepreneur Papachassorn Meepa.

Organized under the collaboration of SQCC Properties LLC and Phuket 9, the conference brought together over 50 prominent and emerging entrepreneurs. The event focused on international real estate investment opportunities, networking with global investors, and insights into high-return property markets.

Phuket, a globally recognized tourism hub, is increasingly emerging as a lucrative investment destination due to its scenic coastline, strong hospitality sector, and growing infrastructure. Through the Phuket 9 initiative, a replica of the iconic Shreemant Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati Temple has also been developed, symbolizing a unique cultural bridge and promoting Marathi–Konkani heritage on a global platform.

Prior to the conference, Dr. Manjrekar and Papachassorn Meepa met Pramod Sawant to brief him about the initiative. The Chief Minister extended his best wishes and expressed interest in visiting the Ganpati temple project in Phuket.

“When Goa’s entrepreneurial spirit meets a global vision, it creates powerful opportunities. Phuket is not just a tourism hub but a strong investment destination. We believe Konkani entrepreneurs can strengthen their global presence through this initiative.”

“Indian culture, especially Goa’s tradition of ‘Atithi Devo Bhava,’ has always inspired me. Phuket and Goa share similarities in nature, beaches, and cultural richness. We sincerely hope Goan entrepreneurs benefit from these opportunities.”
