51-Foot Tree Plantation in Shahunagar on the Occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Birthday
MLA Amit Gorkhe’s “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” Initiative

Pimpri Chinchwad | On the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday, a unique initiative was undertaken in Pimpri-Chinchwad city through MLA Amit Gorkhe. Based on the concept of ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ (One Tree in the Name of Mother) and in alignment with the “Environment” focus of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh’s ‘Sangh Shatabdi Panchsutri’, a 50-foot Peepal tree was planted at Shiv Shahu Shambho Garden in Shahunagar. This historic ceremony was conducted at the hands of former corporator Anuradha Gorkhe, delivering a unique message of honoring motherhood.
The main purpose of this initiative was to express gratitude towards mothers, salute their selfless service, and spread awareness about environmental conservation among the people. This initiative was jointly organized with D Y P Infra Projects Pvt. Ltd., where Director Dattatray Yadav was also present. The core objective was to contribute to environmental protection with a sense of social responsibility.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Amit Gorkhe said, “A mother is the first teacher of our life. This initiative is a tribute of gratitude to her selfless service. If, on the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday, we all plant a tree in our mother’s name, then every household will send a green message to society. This tree will become a memorial of maternal remembrance and will provide the coming generations with a clean and green legacy.”
Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh’s District Sanghchalak Vinod Bansal also emphasized the importance of this initiative.
