Putin Warns Europe: “If You Want War, Russia Will Defeat You—No One May Survive to Negotiate Peace”
Ahead of his India visit on December 4, Vladimir Putin issues a fierce warning to European nations, claiming any conflict with Russia would leave “no one alive to discuss peace,” as tensions rise amid Moscow's renewed military strategy.

Russian President:
Vladimir Putin has issued one of his strongest warnings yet to European leaders, stating that if Europe wants war, Russia is ready—and will decisively defeat them.
Speaking in Moscow, ahead of his scheduled India visit on December 4, Putin said:
“If you want war, Russia will defeat you. The defeat of European powers is certain. It will be so absolute that no one will remain to negotiate peace.”
His statement comes at a time when military activity around Ukraine has intensified, and former U.S. President Donald Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner is reportedly in Moscow for back-channel discussions on a potential peace deal.
Putin’s Warning Before Meeting U.S. Delegation
Putin was addressing an investment forum when he declared that Russia does not have a formal peace plan left because Europe has rejected all reasonable proposals.
He stated:
“War is not something we want. But if Europe chooses war, we are prepared. Any aggressive step from Europe will create a situation where no one remains for negotiations.”
Putin added that Europe itself has ruined peace efforts by altering conditions in the previous peace framework to make them unacceptable for Russia.
Claims About Zelensky and Peace Talks
Putin reiterated that as long as Volodymyr Zelensky is in power, peace talks are pointless.
He said Ukraine must withdraw from territories currently under Russian control for talks to resume—otherwise, Russia will “take them by military force.”
Five-Hour Closed-Door Meeting
Putin also held a secret five-hour meeting with a U.S. delegation led by Kushner and Steven Witkoff. Media was barred from the talks. Putin later wrote on X (Twitter) that the discussion was “productive.”
