Ram Mandir Donation Probe: QR Code Box Seized

The Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the alleged misappropriation of donations linked to the Ram Mandir has recovered a wooden donation box labelled “Ramrajya Kosh” with a QR code for digital payments from the residence of one of the accused. Investigators believe the seizure could become one of the strongest pieces of evidence in the high-profile case.

The donation box was recovered during a search at the residence of accused Avinash Shukla as the SIT intensified its investigation into the alleged diversion of donations offered by devotees in Ayodhya.

According to officials, the seized donation box may help establish the alleged modus operandi and assist investigators in identifying everyone involved before the SIT submits its findings to the court. The QR code attached to the box is expected to play a crucial role in tracing digital financial transactions and determining whether an unauthorized donation collection network was operating in the name of the temple.

The SIT simultaneously conducted searches at the residences of all eight arrested accused, seizing important documents, electronic devices, and other materials considered relevant to the investigation. Officials are also examining whether similar donation boxes were used at other locations and if additional individuals were involved in the alleged conspiracy.

SIT Gets 15 More Days for Investigation

The latest seizure comes soon after a local court granted the SIT an additional 15 days to complete its investigation. Officials said the extension will allow investigators to examine financial records, conduct forensic analysis of electronic devices, scrutinize digital payment trails, and continue questioning the accused before filing the final report.
