PM Narendra Modi Launches Two Major Schemes Worth ₹35,000 Crore for Farmers

New Delhi – In a significant move aimed at strengthening India’s agricultural sector, Prime Minister Narendra Modi today unveiled two major schemes worth ₹35,440 crore for the benefit of farmers. The announcement marks a major policy push to improve farm infrastructure and increase income for cultivators across the country.

In addition, the Prime Minister also launched the ‘Dhan Dhaan Krishi Yojana’, a dedicated scheme with an allocation of around ₹24,000 crore, focused on increasing crop yield, promoting sustainable farming practices, and ensuring better market access for agricultural produce.

These initiatives are part of the government’s broader agenda to empower farmers, improve agri-based livelihoods, and support rural development in the face of climate challenges and global food demand.

Speaking at the launch event, PM Modi reiterated the government’s commitment to doubling farmers’ income and making Indian agriculture more modern, resilient, and profitable.

Further details of the schemes, including implementation timelines and beneficiary selection criteria, are expected to be released by the Union Ministry of Agriculture soon.
