New Delhi:
Bollywood veteran Paresh Rawal’s upcoming film “The Taj Story” has landed in controversy even before its release. Allegations of distortion of historical facts have sparked a wave of criticism, leading to legal action and political intervention.

Advocate Shakeel Abbas has filed a petition in the Delhi High Court, claiming that the film misrepresents key historical events and figures related to the Taj Mahal. He argued that such portrayals could mislead the public and hurt sentiments.

Amid the legal row, a BJP spokesperson has now demanded a complete ban on the film, accusing the filmmakers of deliberate historical manipulation for publicity. The leader also stated that “no creative freedom should allow falsifying India’s rich heritage.”

The production team of The Taj Story has not yet issued an official response to the controversy. The movie, starring Paresh Rawal in a prominent role, was expected to release later this year but may now face delays due to the ongoing legal proceedings.
