Pimpri-Chinchwad | An important meeting was held today at the Bharatiya Janata Party’s Pimpri-Chinchwad city office. In this meeting, it was resolved that this year’s Independence Day will not be celebrated merely as a national festival but also as a ‘Victory Festival’ to mark the success of the Indian Army’s ‘Operation Sindoor’. The meeting was conducted under the leadership of City President Shatrughan (Bapu) Kate, and detailed planning for upcoming programs was carried out.

Speaking after the meeting, City President Shatrughan Kate said, “Under the bold leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, ‘Operation Sindoor’ has been completely successful. We will celebrate this victory festival to honor the Indian Army for teaching a lesson to terrorist forces.” Referring to PM Modi’s speech in Parliament, he stated that celebrating this victory festival is the duty of every patriotic citizen.

The meeting emphasized two major upcoming campaigns. Under the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign, the tricolor will be hoisted on every house. Awareness will be created by visiting households, with a special focus on hoisting the flag through children.

Additionally, Shatrughan Kate informed that 1.45 lakh rakhis will be sent from the city for the Raksha Bandhan program. He stated that this program aims to promote social harmony and brotherhood. Various programs are being organized by BJP Pimpri-Chinchwad for Independence Day. These include the Raksha Bandhan celebration, Tiranga Yatra, Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, Cleanliness drive at freedom fighter memorials, and observing Partition Horrors Remembrance Day on 14th August to commemorate Akhand Bharat.

A Har Ghar Tiranga Yatra will be conducted ward-wise across the city, and citizens will be distributed the national flag. A citywide cleanliness drive will also be implemented at memorials of freedom fighters and revolutionaries.
