Breaking News | Proposed Slaughterhouse Reservation in Moshi Finally Cancelled!
Major Announcement by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis in Pune : Success for MLA Mahesh Landge’s Follow-up

Pune : In the revised development plan of the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation, the reservation for a proposed slaughterhouse in the Moshi and Alandi pilgrimage area will be cancelled. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has announced that there will be no compromise on the sentiments of Warkaris, locals, and farmers.
The Ashadhi Wari palanquin procession of Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj and Jagadguru Sant Tukaram Maharaj has reached Pune. At this location, CM Fadnavis took darshan of the palanquins and interacted with the Warkaris.
Two days ago, several foundation-laying and inauguration ceremonies for development projects took place in Pimpri-Chinchwad. During this event, locals and landowners submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister demanding the cancellation of the proposed slaughterhouse reservation in Moshi. BJP MLA Mahesh Landge had also raised this demand with the Municipal Commissioner Shekhar Singh and the Chief Minister. Landge had appealed that the voices of Moshi and Charholi citizens be heard and that a positive decision be taken — and now this demand has finally been met.
Within the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal limits, a slaughterhouse reservation had been proposed near the holy town of Alandi in the development plan. The decision drew criticism from all quarters for proposing such a facility near a pilgrimage site like Alandi. MLA Landge had persistently followed up with the administration to have this reservation removed.
Speaking to the media in Pune, CM Devendra Fadnavis said, “In the current development plan, a reservation for a slaughterhouse was shown near Moshi-Alandi. However, under no circumstances will such a slaughterhouse be allowed. I have issued orders to remove this reservation. I want to assure all Warkaris and their leaders — there will be no slaughterhouse under any condition.”
The BJP-Mahayuti government at the state and center is committed to serving God, the nation, and religion, Fadnavis said. He also reaffirmed his stand on implementing a cow slaughter ban law in the state to promote cow protection and preservation. The TP scheme in Talgaon Chikhali was previously cancelled, and the scheme in Charholi was stayed. Some individuals tried to create confusion regarding these moves, but the CM resolved the matter publicly in a minute.
Moshi residents, cow protectors, and Hindu activists had demanded cancellation of the slaughterhouse reservation. CM Devendra Fadnavis has now issued the order to cancel the reservation, for which all cow protectors, farmers, and the broader Hindu society express heartfelt gratitude.
