Pimpri Chinchwad | A state-of-the-art Robotics Lab, jointly established by Leadership for Equity and Robotex India, was inaugurated at Pimpri Chinchwad Science Park by Commissioner Shekhar Singh. On this occasion, Singh expressed that the Robotics Lab will be useful for fostering innovation and skill development among students.

Present on the occasion were Science Park Director Pravin Tupe, CEO Dr. Shraddha Khaparia, Leadership for Equity Founder & CEO Madhukar Reddy Banuri, COO Damini Mainkar, and Robotex India Operations Head Manisha Sawant.

Commissioner Shekhar Singh said, “The Robotics Lab will provide students with hands-on experience in the world of science, technology, innovation, and artificial intelligence, thereby enhancing their skills. This lab is not merely a place to learn technology, but also a platform to foster creativity, problem-solving, and inspire students to confidently participate in the future economy. Through this lab, students will receive training in robotics, electronics, and programming, enabling them to develop innovations.”

Damini Mainkar said, “A few days ago, Leadership for Equity set up a Computer Science Coding Lab at Science Park, through which students from nearby schools are learning block-coding and creating various projects and animations. Now, with the support of Robotex India, the newly launched Robotics Lab will provide further opportunities for students. With the help of this lab, students will be able to learn robotics and programming in greater depth, give shape to their innovations, and broaden their perspective.”

Manisha Sawant said, “Under this initiative, students will be trained for various robotics competitions. Participation in contests such as the Entrepreneurship Challenge, Line Follower, Maze Solver, and Girls Fire Fight will enhance students’ technical abilities, as well as develop teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving skills.”

To ensure the continuity of this initiative, teacher training and mentoring programs will also be conducted. Selected teachers from nearby schools will be specially trained so they can guide students in the lab. “This will ensure that the learning process continues even after the workshops are over, thereby achieving long-term impact,” said Dr. Shraddha Khaparia.
