However, many fans are wondering what will happen if rain disrupts the final match.
According to the rules of the International Cricket Council (ICC), a reserve day has been kept for the final. If the match cannot be completed on March 8 due to rain or any other interruption, the remaining play will continue on March 9.
If not a single ball is bowled on the first day because of rain, the match will begin fresh on the reserve day. The ICC has also allocated an additional 90 minutes on the main match day to complete the game, while the reserve day has a buffer time of 120 minutes.
The ICC will make every effort to ensure that a result is achieved. However, if rain prevents play on both days and the match cannot be completed, both India and New Zealand will be declared joint winners of the tournament as per ICC rules.
Meanwhile, weather conditions in Ahmedabad currently indicate the onset of summer, and the chances of rain are considered low. This increases the likelihood that the final will proceed smoothly without major interruptions.
