In some areas, bookings are not going through at all, while there is a growing number of complaints regarding extremely delayed deliveries even after a booking has been successfully placed. If 25 days have elapsed and you are still unable to book a cylinder, it is essential that you do not panic; instead, you must file an official complaint.

In recent times, the administration has tightened certain regulations regarding the management and distribution of gas cylinders. According to these new rules, a mandatory gap of at least 25 days is now required between two consecutive bookings for domestic gas cylinders. If you have recently received a cylinder delivery, the system will not accept your new booking request until the full 25-day waiting period has been completed. Since many customers are unaware of this strict regulation, they repeatedly attempt to place bookings, which often leads to unnecessary confusion and inconvenience.

If your issue is not a result of these regulations—or if you are simply failing to receive an appropriate response from your gas agency—you can file a direct complaint via the government’s PG Portal. Any complaint lodged on this portal is forwarded directly to the relevant ministry and senior departmental officials. To file a complaint, simply log in to the portal, select the “Register Public Grievance” option, and provide a detailed description of your issue. Once you have accurately entered your consumer number and gas agency details, you can submit the complaint and subsequently track its status online.

For customers who are unable to file a complaint online, there is also the option to report their grievances to the administration directly by calling the dedicated consumer helpline number. An official toll-free helpline—1800-2333-555—has been made available specifically for customers of Indane Gas and HP Gas. Bharat Gas customers can directly call 1800-22-4344 to register their complaints. Since there is an adequate supply of gas available in the country, any issues that arise can be resolved promptly by filing a complaint through the appropriate channels.
