Thunderstorm and Rain Alert in Maharashtra for Four Days
Possibility of hailstorm in some areas between March 17 and 20; farmers advised to take precautions

Mumbai: The India Meteorological Department has issued a warning of thunderstorms, lightning, gusty winds and rainfall in several parts of Maharashtra between March 17 and March 20. According to the weather forecast, regions including Vidarbha, Marathwada, Khandesh and parts of Central Maharashtra are likely to experience the impact of changing weather conditions during this period.

The department stated that the intensity of the weather system may increase between March 18 and March 20, with a possibility of hailstorms in certain locations. Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and strong winds may affect several districts in these regions.
Meanwhile, the Agriculture Department has advised farmers to remain cautious as harvesting of Rabi season crops is currently underway. Farmers have been urged to store harvested crops in safe places or cover them properly to prevent damage.
Officials also recommended that farmers plan their agricultural activities by closely monitoring updated weather forecasts. Necessary precautions should be taken to minimize potential damage to crops caused by rainfall, strong winds or hailstorms during the next few days.
