Sector 12 Pradhan Mantri Awas Housing Project Club House, Sewage Treatment Project Issues Resolved!
- Assurance of Metropolitan Commissioner Yogesh Mhase - Successful follow-up of Society Federation

Pimpri-Chinchwad: The years-long problems regarding the club house and sewage treatment project of 5000 members of the PMAY (Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana) housing project in Sector 12 of Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) have finally been resolved.

There was severe dissatisfaction among the society members due to the wrong transfer of the club house to the municipal corporation by the authority. Also, the project was closed due to the non-handover of the Simple Treatment Plant (STP) installed for 45 cooperative housing societies by the society. Due to this, there was water shortage and foul smell in the area. To resolve these problems, a meeting was held today with Metropolitan Commissioner Yogesh Mhase through the Chikhli-Moshi-Pimpri Chinchwad Housing Society Federation.
The Commissioner clarified in the meeting that the wrongful transfer of the club house will be withdrawn and it will be transferred back to the relevant housing project. Also, orders were given to immediately start the closed sewage treatment project. It was also assured that the project would be transferred from the society after holding another meeting in the next eight to ten days. The society members were relieved to hear this announcement and there is an atmosphere of happiness in the area. Apart from this, the Commissioner also ordered to remove the dust and noise from the second road in Sector 12 and start the road soon.
Society Federation President Sanjeev Sangle said, “The society members were caught off guard due to the wrong decisions made in these projects. After today’s meeting, the administration took the right decision and we will always stand for the rights of the society members.” This step is a big relief for the society members and shows the direction of finding solutions to future problems promptly.
“ Our society members were suffering for many years due to wrong decisions taken in the Pradhan Mantri Awas Project in Sector-12. Problems related to the club house, sewage treatment project and water management were adversely affecting the quality of life. The clear assurance given by Commissioner Mr. Yogesh Mhase in today’s meeting has given justice to the society members. We, Chikhli-Moshi-Pimpri Chinchwad Housing Society Federation, always stand for the rights of the society members and will continue to fight honestly against any injustice in the future as well.
– Sanjeev Sangle, President, Society Federation.
