PCMC Elections: “My Vote is Dedicated to Self-Respecting Pimpri-Chinchwad Citizens,” Says MLA Mahesh Landge

Voting for the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) general elections is underway since morning in a peaceful and enthusiastic atmosphere across the city. On this occasion, Bharatiya Janata Party leader and MLA Mahesh Landge exercised his right to vote at a polling station in Bhosari.

The elections have generated intense political interest in the city, as a closely contested battle is underway between NCP leader and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar and BJP MLA Mahesh Landge, further heating up the political climate in Pimpri-Chinchwad.

After casting his vote, Mahesh Landge spoke to the media and said,
“Voting is the sacred duty of every citizen. To strengthen democracy, the people of Pimpri-Chinchwad should come out in large numbers and vote. Choosing capable and stable leadership is essential for the city’s development.”

Expressing the sentiment behind his vote, he added,
“My vote is dedicated to the self-respecting citizens of Pimpri-Chinchwad. Every citizen must actively participate in this democratic festival.”

Since morning, a steady turnout of voters has been witnessed at polling stations across the city. The administration has ensured tight security arrangements along with all necessary facilities to conduct the polling smoothly.

Appealing to voters, Mahesh Landge urged citizens to step out, vote enthusiastically, and contribute toward shaping a bright future for Pimpri-Chinchwad.

The total voter population in the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation area stands at 17,13,891, including 9,05,728 men, 8,07,966 women, and 197 voters from other categories.

Meanwhile, temporary disruptions due to Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) malfunctions were reported at a few polling stations, causing brief waiting periods for voters. However, election officials promptly resolved the issues and ensured that the voting process continued without major interruptions.
