Loyalty, Dedication and Sustainable Development Are BJP’s Core Principles: MLA Mahesh Landge
Ravi Landge elected unopposed as Pimpri-Chinchwad Mayor; Constitution copies presented instead of celebrations

Pimpri-Chinchwad |
Bharatiya Janata Party’s unopposed corporator Ravi Landge has been unanimously elected as Mayor. The families of BJP loyalist and former Leader of the Opposition in the city, late Babasaheb Landge, and senior BJP leader late Ankushrao Landge have worked with dedication for the party and the city. Today, their work has received a true tribute. Similarly, Sharmila Babar from the Babar family, a grassroots worker devoted to the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, has been unanimously elected as Deputy Mayor. Such a feat, I believe, is possible only in the Bharatiya Janata Party, said BJP leader and MLA Mahesh Landge.
Ravi Babasaheb Landge of the BJP was elected Mayor of Pimpri-Chinchwad, while Sharmila Babar was unanimously elected as Deputy Mayor. NCP’s Vaishali Kalbhor withdrew her nomination. After nearly four years of administrative rule, the first meeting of the Municipal Corporation House was held. In this meeting, the Mayor, Deputy Mayor, Leader of the Opposition, and Leader of the Ruling Party were elected.
BJP city president Shatrughan Kate, MLA Shankar Jagtap, MLC Uma Khapre, and MLC Amit Gorkhe were present on the occasion.
MLA Mahesh Landge stated that under the guidance of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and State President Ravindra Chavan, all of us are committed to the “sustainable development” of Pimpri-Chinchwad city. He congratulated newly elected Mayor Ravi Landge along with all key office-bearers and corporators. He expressed satisfaction that after four years of administrative rule, the functioning of the House has commenced today for the first time.
