‘Har Ghar Tiranga, Har Ghar Swachhata’ Campaign Launched by Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation

Pimpri-Chinchwad | Under the ‘Swachh Bharat Mission’, the Health Department of Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation has launched a special campaign titled ‘Har Ghar Tiranga, Har Ghar Swachhata’, to promote patriotism and cleanliness throughout the city. This special campaign, to be conducted in three phases, began on August 2 and will continue until August 15, 2025.

The first phase, which began on August 2, will end on August 7, 2025. During this phase, schools, public places, and tourist spots in the city will host activities such as tricolor-themed art, rangoli, and cleanliness drives. These activities will aim to foster patriotism among students while also highlighting the importance of cleanliness.

The second phase of the campaign will be conducted from August 9 to August 12, 2025, and will feature events such as a Tiranga Fair, Tiranga Concert, and promotion of eco-friendly tricolors.
The Tiranga Fair will support local entrepreneurs and emphasize the ‘Vocal for Local’ message by showcasing local contributions to nation-building through the tricolor.
The Tiranga Concert will evoke pride in the national flag through patriotic songs and cultural performances.
The eco-friendly Tiranga initiative will encourage citizens to avoid plastic and instead use cloth or reusable materials to make the national flag, promoting environmental awareness.

The third phase of the campaign will be conducted from August 13 to August 15, 2025, during which flag hoisting ceremonies will be organized at important cleanliness-related locations across the city, along with preservation and honoring of these sites.

Various Public Awareness Activities to be Conducted…

  • Door-to-door awareness on cleanliness and waste management

  • Educating people about waste segregation

  • Promoting the use of eco-friendly cloth bags instead of plastic

Flag Collection Initiative After August 15

After Independence Day, the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation has planned to collect used national flags from citizens. The administration has appealed to the public to deposit the used flags at RRR (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) centers.

“Every citizen of the city should participate in the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga, Har Ghar Swachhata’ campaign. Citizen participation is also vital for the cleanliness of Pimpri-Chinchwad. We request everyone’s full cooperation to ensure that the city ranks top in the country in Swachh Survekshan 2026.”
