‘Butterfly Garden’ Set to Enhance the Glory of Thergaon!
PCMC: Standing Committee Chairman Abhishek Barne Inspects the Project

Pimpri-Chinchwad | Parks constitute the glory of a city; they serve to enhance the city’s aesthetic appeal while simultaneously maintaining ecological balance. Against this backdrop, Abhishek Barne—Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC)—conducted a personal inspection and took a detailed review today of the work currently underway on the picturesque ‘Butterfly Garden’ in Thergaon, Ward No. 23. He was accompanied by municipal officials during this visit. Following years of persistent follow-up and advocacy, the work on this garden has finally taken concrete shape and is currently progressing steadily.
During this inspection tour, Chairman Abhishek Barne issued significant directives to the officials aimed at ensuring the garden becomes even more beautiful, clean, and well-equipped with amenities for the citizens. Key instructions included, primarily, making provisions for separate restroom facilities for men and women, increasing the number of trees within the garden, and inspecting the drainage lines in the vicinity to formulate an appropriate management plan. Furthermore, he issued instructions to establish excellent seating arrangements for senior citizens, deploy security guards at the main entrance, organize parking facilities, and create a robust management system (maintenance schedule) to ensure regular cleanliness. He also emphasized the importance of planting indigenous flowering plants and medicinal herbs within the garden to attract birds.
Present on this occasion were Garden Superintendent Yogesh Walunj, Assistant Garden Superintendent Rajesh Vasave, Garden Inspector Sunil Nale, Garden Assistant Hanumant Chakankar, Arvind Kadam from the Garden Department, Deputy Engineer Ramesh Nivrutti Jintikar, and Junior Engineer Vikas Dattatray Gosavi. They were joined by former Nominated Corporator Sandeepji Gade, along with key office-bearers and activists from the ward, who attended in large numbers. With this park—a crowning glory for Thergaon—the residents of the locality will soon have access to a dedicated recreational hub of their own.
“This Butterfly Garden in Thergaon will undoubtedly enhance the beauty of the city. It is our duty to provide citizens with a clean, beautiful, and well-equipped recreational center. We will ensure that the construction of the park is completed on time and to the highest standards of quality.”
— Abhishek Barne (Chairman, Standing Committee, Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation)
