National-level shooting athlete Arun Subhash Padule has been appointed as the City President of the Sports Cell of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Pimpri-Chinchwad. The important appointment was announced in the presence of BJP city president Shatrughan (Bappu) Kate.
Arun Padule himself is a national-level athlete and has also trained several players as a coach who later reached the national level. He is widely known as a loyal associate of BJP leader and MLA Mahesh Landge. Party leaders and people from the sports fraternity have expressed confidence that his experience will strengthen the sports sector in the city.
After accepting the new responsibility, Arun Padule met MLA Mahesh Landge in Mumbai. During the meeting, discussions were held on preparing concrete plans to help athletes from the city reach national as well as international levels. After the meeting, Arun Padule said, “Meeting and receiving guidance from MLA Mahesh Landge was very inspiring. We are planning concrete initiatives to help athletes from the city reach national and international levels. We are fully committed to providing proper training, facilities, and opportunities to players.”
BJP MLA Mahesh Landge also congratulated Arun Padule and wished him success. He said, “Arun Sir will continue guiding players towards international and Olympic-level achievements. Under his leadership, the sports sector in the city will definitely progress. Through our organisational work, we will also ensure that athletes receive more opportunities and sports development gets a major boost.”
Due to the appointment of Arun Padule, it is expected that the sports sector in Pimpri-Chinchwad will see overall development and that local as well as national-level athletes will receive proper guidance.
