10 Unauthorized English Medium Schools Identified in Pimpri-Chinchwad; Education Department Issues Advisory to Parents

Pimpri, April 2026: The Education Department of the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation has identified 10 private English medium primary schools operating without mandatory government approval in the Pimpri-Chinchwad area for the academic year 2026–27.

Despite prior notices directing these institutions to shut down, authorities found that the schools continue to function in violation of official regulations. The department has now issued a strict advisory urging parents not to enroll their children in these unauthorized institutions.

Officials warned that admission to such schools could seriously impact students’ academic progress and future recognition of their education. Parents have been cautioned that any consequences arising from enrolling their children in these unapproved schools will be their sole responsibility.

Additionally, a strong warning has been issued to the school managements. Authorities have stated that no school should operate without obtaining proper government permissions. Failure to comply will lead to strict legal action under the regulations of the Maharashtra School Education and Sports Department.

Administrative Officer Sangita Bangar from the Education Department emphasized that running schools without authorization not only violates norms but also puts students’ academic future at risk.

The department has appealed to all parents to ensure that admissions are taken only in government-approved and officially recognized schools to safeguard their children’s education.
