MLA Mahesh Landge’s Follow-up Brings Big Success; 172 Teachers Granted Selection Grade, 78 Teachers Senior Grade, and Headmasters Get Promotions

Pimpri Chinchwad | The eve of Teacher’s Day has brought joy to the primary teachers of Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation’s Education Department. The long-pending orders of selection grade, senior grade, and headmaster promotions have finally been issued. As per the order, 172 teachers have been granted selection grade, 78 teachers senior grade, and several eligible teachers have been promoted to the post of headmaster. Due to this decision taken by Commissioner Shekhar Singh, an atmosphere of enthusiasm has spread among teachers.
Meanwhile, BJP MLA Mahesh Landge had been consistently following up to ensure approval of promotions for the gurus who shape society’s future and create an ideal generation. His efforts have been successful. “This is a salute to all the teachers of the city,” said MLA Landge.
For various pending demands of municipal teachers, continuous follow-up was being done by the Graduate Teachers’ Association. In this context, it was demanded that, as per the decision of the state government, the orders of selection and senior grades should be issued directly under the jurisdiction of the Municipal Commissioner. During this time, under the signature of Education Director Sharad Gosavi, approval was given for senior and selection grade orders of all municipal teachers across the state to be issued at the commissioner level itself. Accordingly, on the orders of Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Commissioner, with the signatures of the promotion committee, all orders were released on the eve of Teacher’s Day.
This decision has created immense joy and satisfaction among the teaching community. The long-pending issue has finally been resolved, and the fight for teachers’ rights has succeeded.
The decision taken on the eve of Teacher’s Day has upheld the honor of teachers and recognized their contribution. In the future too, such a positive approach will be taken for safeguarding the rights of teachers. Teachers in Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal schools have played a vital role in raising the standard of education. Many municipal students are shining at national and international levels. Recently, a student from the city has been selected to go overseas for a fellowship. This is the success of the municipal corporation. Therefore, it is our duty to give due respect to teachers who work tirelessly day and night for the success of students.
