Speculation surrounding the future of Maharashtra’s popular comedy show ‘Chala Hawa Yeu Dya’ has been making headlines, with reports suggesting that the show could follow ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show’ and make its way to Netflix. However, actor Kushal Badrike has now addressed the rumours and clarified his stance.

‘Chala Hawa Yeu Dya’ ruled Marathi television for nearly a decade before going off-air. Although the show later returned with a revamped format, the new season received mixed reactions from viewers, and several original cast members exited the show. Since then, fans have been eagerly waiting for updates about a possible third season.
Amid growing speculation that the comedy show could shift from Zee Marathi to Netflix, Kushal Badrike dismissed the rumours in his trademark humorous style during an interview.
“It would be more than enough for me if ‘Chala Hawa Yeu Dya’ simply returns on Zee Marathi,” Kushal said.
The actor also spoke emotionally about his long association with the channel, crediting Zee Marathi for shaping both his personal and professional journey.
“From ‘Hasa Chakat Fu’ until last year, I have been working with Zee Marathi. My home, my family, my career, and my identity—not just in Maharashtra but wherever Marathi people live across the world—have been built because of Zee Marathi. For me, the channel is nothing less than God,” he said.
Before becoming a household name through ‘Chala Hawa Yeu Dya’, Kushal Badrike featured in several successful Zee Marathi shows, including ‘Fu Bai Fu’, ‘Shubhankaroti’, and ‘Malvani Days’. While he enjoyed success across multiple projects, it was ‘Chala Hawa Yeu Dya’ that established him as one of Marathi entertainment’s most loved comedians.
For now, there is no official confirmation regarding the show’s arrival on Netflix, and Kushal’s remarks suggest that his preference remains firmly with Zee Marathi.
