#UnclogHinjawadiITPark Movement: After Devendra and Ajit Dada, Now All Eyes on Chandrakant Dada!
IT professionals from Hinjawadi meet Minister Chandrakant Patil to demand swift action on long-pending infrastructure issues in the IT hub.
The representatives of the #UnclogHinjawadiITPark movement met State Minister Chandrakant Patil on Saturday, urging immediate action on long-pending infrastructure issues plaguing the Hinjawadi IT Park area. During the meeting, the group submitted their eighth memorandum highlighting the persistent problems faced by thousands of IT professionals commuting daily to the tech hub.
Previously, the campaign members had met Deputy Chief Ministers Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar, but the lack of visible progress has led to growing frustration among the IT workforce. With no tangible improvements on the ground, attention has now shifted to Minister Patil, with local tech employees expressing hope — “After Devendra and Ajit Dada, now our expectations are from Chandrakant Dada.”
The meeting was organized under the initiative of Corporators Mamta Tai Vinayak Gaikwad and Sandeep Anna Kaspatte as part of a “Snehabhent” program. Key campaign members — Sachin Gunale, Sachin Londhe, Tejaswini Savai, and Raj Mangrule — were present.
Major topics of discussion included:
-
Road repairs in the Hinjawadi area,
-
Severe traffic congestion, and
-
Pending civic works such as the Wakad Datta Mandir Road and sports ground classification under PCMC limits.
Minister Chandrakant Patil assured the delegation that he would personally take up these matters with PMRDA officials and ensure speedy redressal. Also present were MLA Shankar Jagtap, Corporator Mamta Gaikwad, and Corporator Sandeep Kaspatte.
Expressing gratitude, Sachin Londhe, Vice President of the Pimpri-Chinchwad Housing Society Federation, said:
“Hinjawadi IT Park is one of Maharashtra’s key economic centers, yet persistent issues like poor roads, traffic chaos, and lack of basic amenities have frustrated the IT community. We’ve submitted eight memoranda so far, and this time, Minister Patil has responded positively. We now hope to see action, not just assurances.”
