Taking to social media platform X, Rahul Gandhi criticised the timing of the Prime Minister’s video, saying it failed to address the real issues faced by students.

“Mr. Modi, our students are demanding the resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan. Please do not insult their intelligence by sharing a midnight video,” Gandhi said in his post.

The Congress leader also placed three key demands before the Union government, insisting that concrete action was needed instead of public messaging.

According to Rahul Gandhi, the government must immediately remove Dharmendra Pradhan from the post of Union Education Minister, initiate strict action against those responsible for allegedly assaulting protesting students, and issue a public apology to students across the country.

The Prime Minister’s video was shared amid growing nationwide anger over the alleged NEET paper leak and the concerns raised by students regarding examination transparency and fairness. However, the opposition claimed that the government’s response remained inadequate and failed to address accountability.

Rahul Gandhi stated that the government must restore students’ confidence through decisive action rather than symbolic statements, arguing that young aspirants deserve justice and a transparent examination system.

The NEET controversy continues to dominate national politics, with protests taking place in several parts of the country. Opposition parties have intensified pressure on the Centre, demanding accountability over alleged irregularities in the examination process and stronger safeguards to protect students’ future.
