The victory marks the Italian star’s fifth Grand Slam singles title, further cementing his place among the world’s elite tennis players.

The Wimbledon triumph comes after Sinner’s disappointing early exit at the French Open, where he suffered an unexpected second-round defeat. However, just as he did last year, the Italian bounced back impressively on the grass courts of the All England Club to reclaim the prestigious title.

The final was fiercely contested during the opening two sets, with both players producing high-quality tennis. A turning point came midway through the third set when the score was tied at 3-3. Chasing a delicate drop shot from Sinner, Zverev slipped on the grass and injured his right knee.

Displaying outstanding sportsmanship, Sinner immediately crossed the net to help his opponent to his feet. Although Zverev continued after receiving medical treatment and strapping on his knee, the injury noticeably restricted his movement for the remainder of the match.

Sinner capitalized on the opportunity by breaking Zverev’s serve for the first time in the match to take a 5-3 lead before comfortably securing the third set. He maintained control in the fourth set to seal another Wimbledon title.

Earlier in the match, Zverev had won a tense first-set tie-break with a brilliant forehand winner, ending Sinner’s impressive streak of 14 consecutive sets won. However, as the contest progressed, Sinner adjusted to Zverev’s powerful serve, increased the pressure with precise returns and aces, and eventually took full command of the final.

The victory also extended Sinner’s remarkable dominance over Zverev, marking his 10th consecutive win against the German star.
