Govinda Discharged from Hospital After Collapse; Wife Sunita Faces Online Criticism
Bollywood veteran Govinda rushed to hospital after fainting at home, now home and recuperating — social media targets his wife Sunita for her public behaviour.
Bollywood actor Govinda was rushed to CritiCare Hospital in Juhu, Mumbai after he suddenly fainted at home early Monday morning. Doctors said the 60-year-old actor experienced dizziness due to fatigue and overexertion from gym workouts.
After being kept under medical observation for a few hours, Govinda was discharged later in the day. In a brief video statement, the actor assured fans that he was doing well and thanked everyone for their prayers and concern.
However, amid the concern, Govinda’s wife Sunita Ahuja became the target of online trolling. Social-media users criticised her for talking about Dharmendra’s health to paparazzi at Mumbai airport but avoiding any mention of her husband’s condition.
Comments flooded social media saying things like, “Don’t you know your own husband is unwell?” and “You should have been with Govinda, not giving interviews.”
Sunita had told the media that she was praying for Dharmendra’s recovery and that Govinda had recently met the veteran actor. Her silence on her husband’s health, however, drew sharp reactions from netizens.
Doctors later clarified that Govinda’s condition was not serious, and he simply needed rest after excessive physical activity. The actor is now recovering at home under observation.
