Former Shiv Sena MLA and Prati-Shirdi Shirgaon Chief Trustee Prakash Deole Passes Away

Visionary Behind Prati-Shirdi Temple and Former Pune District Chief of Shiv Sena Dies at 77

Pune : Former Shiv Sena MLA and Chief Trustee of Prati-Shirdi Shirgaon, Prakash Keshavrao Deole, passed away after a brief illness. He was 77 years old. His final rites will be performed today (September 24) at 3 PM at Vaikunth Crematorium. He is survived by his wife, two daughters, sons-in-law, and grandchildren.

A staunch Shiv Sainik, Prakash Deole rose to prominence in 1996 when he defeated Vilasrao Deshmukh in the Legislative Council elections. He was also known for his impactful tenure as Shiv Sena’s Pune District Chief.

Prakash Deole had a multifaceted career – from being a government employee, builder, orchestra organizer, film producer and director, to a dedicated politician and the visionary behind the Prati-Shirdi temple in Shirgaon. He was recently honored with the Samaj Bhushan Award by the Namdev Shimpi community, which was presented by Minister Chandrakant Patil.

He was closely associated with many organizations and institutions, earning respect across various sectors of society.
