Pimpri-Chinchwad | Correspondent:
In a major administrative development and a festive delight for Pimpri-Chinchwad residents, the long-pending demand for a permanent Tehsildar Office has finally been fulfilled. The Revenue, Registration, and Stamp Duty Department of Maharashtra has approved the proposal to allocate 5 acres of land at Talgaon-Chikhali for the construction of the Pimpri-Chinchwad Tehsildar Office.

The approval comes following a positive decision by Revenue Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule, clearing the way for establishing a permanent, well-equipped office to serve the city’s population of around 3.5 lakh citizens.
The issue of space for the Tehsildar office had been pending for several years, forcing the administration to operate from temporary locations. BJP MLA Mahesh Landge had been consistently following up with the state government to resolve this matter. His persistent efforts have finally brought success.
During a meeting chaired by Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, the need for a dedicated Tehsildar office space for Pimpri-Chinchwad was strongly emphasized. After favorable reports from the Pune District Administration, the Divisional Commissioner’s Office sent a proposal to the Revenue Department, recommending Survey No. 539 in Chikhali for the project. The proposal has now received final approval.
According to the Maharashtra Government Gazette (31 December 2015), government land may be allocated to officially approved public projects without revenue charges, following the discretion of the District Collector. The same rule has been applied to grant the land for this office.
Reaction:
“The long wait of Pimpri-Chinchwad residents is finally over. With 5 acres of land sanctioned for the Tehsildar Office at Talgaon-Chikhali, citizens will now have access to efficient administrative services in a modern facility. I express my heartfelt gratitude to Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Revenue Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule for their positive approach and support. This marks another step forward in Pimpri-Chinchwad’s journey toward sustainable development.”
