Pimpri-Chinchwad, Pune | Representative: Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India has entered a historic phase with the launch of the 16th National Census. Starting May 1, 2026, the country has initiated its first-ever digital “Self-Enumeration” process, encouraging citizens to actively participate.

BJP leader and MLA Mahesh Landge has appealed to residents of Pimpri-Chinchwad to take part in this landmark digital census initiative. Emphasizing the importance of public participation, he urged citizens to complete their self-enumeration online within the stipulated timeline.

MLA Landge personally completed his family’s self-enumeration through the official online platform, setting an example for citizens. Officials from the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation, including Suraj Tingre, Kiran Gavhane, Arun Gundgal, and Rahul Shedge, were present during the process.

Speaking about the initiative, Landge said, “This is the country’s first digital census, and every citizen’s participation is crucial. People across Maharashtra should visit the official portal between May 1 and May 15 to submit their family details and fulfill their responsibility.”

Highlighting the campaign’s core message, Landge added that accurate data collection through digital means will accelerate future planning and development across the nation. His proactive participation has already boosted awareness in the city, with authorities also urging citizens to complete their registration before May 15.

“Accurate data is essential for the nation’s overall development. For the first time, we have the opportunity to participate in a digital self-enumeration process. I have fulfilled my duty—now it’s your turn. Complete your registration today and demonstrate responsible citizenship. ‘Our Census, Our Development’ is not just a slogan but the foundation of a brighter future. Let us all contribute to building a stronger India by participating in the digital census,” said Mahesh Landge.
