Pimpri-Chinchwad | The State Cabinet has approved the establishment of a dedicated Special Motor Vehicle Court for Pimpri-Chinchwad, a significant decision for the city’s development. BJP MLA Mahesh Landge’s consistent follow-up and effective coordination with the government played a decisive role in this outcome.

Given the rapidly growing population and vehicle count in Pimpri-Chinchwad, the need for a dedicated special court had become apparent. Previously, citizens, the police force, and lawyers had to bear significant expenses and travel to Pune to handle such cases.
MLA Landge brought this issue to the government’s attention and persistently pursued the matter with the State Law and Judiciary Department. These efforts have succeeded, with the State Cabinet approving the Pimpri-Chinchwad Special Motor Vehicle Court. Approval has been granted for 12 necessary posts, including a First Class Judicial Magistrate, stenographer, assistant superintendent, senior clerk, junior clerk, and peon. An expenditure of approximately ₹1.7 crore has been sanctioned for this purpose.
This court will facilitate the speedy local resolution of cases related to motor vehicles, including traffic violations, insurance claims, and other vehicle-related disputes. It will also save time for the police and streamline judicial proceedings.
