BJP Launches Direct Public Outreach in Pimpri-Chinchwad Ahead of Civic Elections; “People’s Manifesto” to Be Drafted

With civic elections approaching, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has intensified its groundwork in Pimpri-Chinchwad. During a key meeting held in Pimple Saudagar, Higher and Technical Education Minister Chandrakant Patil instructed party leaders to begin direct communication with citizens and collect suggestions for development-related expectations. These inputs will be compiled into a people-centric manifesto for the upcoming Municipal Corporation election.

Patil emphasized that development projects completed during the BJP’s tenure must be effectively communicated to every household. He also directed party members to increase public interaction and strengthen booth-level strategy.

The review meeting included local representatives, former MPs, MLAs, and key party office bearers. Senior leaders present included Rajesh Pandey, Makrand Deshpande, Shatrughna Kate, Mahesh Landge, Shankar Jagtap, Amit Gorakhe, Uma Khapre, Amar Sable, Ashwini Jagtap, and several others.


Candidate Application Process Begins

During the meeting, Patil instructed city president Shatrughna Kate to begin distributing nomination forms to aspirants. The forms will be issued only from the party’s central office, and applications must be collected within the next five days.

Additionally, Patil directed that the BJP manifesto must reach at least 5,000 households in each ward and a minimum of 50,000 homes citywide through door-to-door campaigning.


Strategic Meetings in All 32 Wards

City president Shatrughna Kate announced that ward-wise review meetings will be held in all 32 wards across Pimpri-Chinchwad. These meetings will evaluate candidate capability, booth-level preparation, power centers, and organizational strength.

Kate stated the party is fully committed to a sweeping victory, adding:

“Abki Baar — 100 Paar!”
