The wheels of change are set to spin once again along the banks of the Indrayani River — this time for a cleaner and greener tomorrow. Under the “Indrayani River Cleanliness Awareness Campaign,” a record-breaking “River Cyclothon 2025” will witness the participation of more than 35,000 cyclists carrying a strong message of environmental conservation.

The event will be held on Sunday, November 23, 2025, from 6 AM to 10 AM, starting from the “Statue of Hindu Bhushan Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj Memorial,” Borhade Wadi, Moshi. The initiative is being organized jointly by Avirat Shramadan, Cycle Mitra, WTE Foundation, and Maheshdada Sports Foundation, under the guidance of MLA Mahesh Landge.

🌿 “One Step for the Next Generation”

The campaign’s motto — “Ek Paaul Bhavi Pidhisathi” (One Step for the Next Generation) — emphasizes the importance of spreading awareness about environmental protection and public health.

The cyclothon features three tracks of 5 km, 15 km, and 25 km, open to cyclists of all age groups. Participants will receive certificates, T-shirts, medals, caps, water bottles, and snacks.

Previously, the initiative earned a Guinness World Record for the “Longest Chain of Cyclists.” With a projected 35,000 participants this year, the 2025 edition aims to amplify the message of river conservation and environmental responsibility across society.

💬 Quote:

“The Indrayani River is not just a water body — it represents our culture and our way of life. Protecting and preserving it is both our duty and our pride. Through ‘River Cyclothon 2025,’ 35,000 cyclists will unite to promote cleanliness, health, and love for nature. With the enthusiasm of our youth and the support of the community, we will surely achieve a ‘Clean River – Green Future.’
