Pimpri-Chinchwad: The final voter list for the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) General Elections 2025 has been announced. A total of 17,13,891 voters have been registered across 32 wards in the city. This includes 9,57,728 male voters, 8,07,966 female voters, and 197 other voters. With the rising voter population, a closely contested election is expected.

Ward-wise data shows that Ward No. 16 has the highest number of voters at 75,105, making it the largest ward in the city. This is followed by Ward No. 3 (72,106 voters) and Ward No. 2 (69,518 voters). On the other hand, Ward No. 23 has the lowest number of voters at 33,033.

The number of women voters is significant in many wards, with their proportion nearly matching that of male voters in some areas. This is expected to have a direct impact on campaign strategies and issue selection by candidates. The presence of other (third-gender) voters in almost all wards highlights the city’s inclusive democratic process.

With the announcement of the final voter list, political activities have gained momentum. Political parties are framing ward-wise strategies, focusing on local issues, civic amenities, and development works. Due to the increased voter base, the upcoming municipal election is expected to be decisive and highly engaging.

As per the election programme announced by the State Election Commission, nomination forms can be filed from 23 December 2025 to 30 December 2025 in offline mode. Scrutiny of nominations will take place on 31 December 2025, while 2 January 2026 is the last date for withdrawal of candidature. Election symbols and the final list of candidates will be published on 3 January 2026.
Polling will be held on 15 January 2026, and vote counting on 16 January 2026. The election will be conducted using EVMs.


32 Wards, 128 Seats

The PCMC election will be conducted under a multi-member ward system, with four members elected from each ward. Elections will be held for 128 seats across 32 wards. The expenditure limit per candidate has been fixed at ₹13 lakh, and each voter will have the right to cast four votes.

A total of 2,044 polling stations have been finalized, and 8 Election Officers have been appointed for the election process.


Election Officer Office Locations Finalised

Election Officer offices have been established at various locations across the city for different ward groups, including Nigdi, Chinchwadgaon, Bhosari, Rahatani, Thergaon, Chikhali, and Sangvi, to ensure smooth conduct of the election process.


The Model Code of Conduct has come into force for the municipal elections. All concerned are instructed to strictly follow the code. Administrative machinery has been directed to ensure strict implementation. Voter awareness programmes have also been intensified through the SVEEP campaign to encourage maximum voter participation.
