PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana: ₹107 Crore Deposited into Accounts of 53,580 Farmers in Sillod Taluka
21st Installment Released; Beneficiary Count Rises by 12,350 After e-KYC and Record Corrections

Sillod:
In a major relief for farmers during the Rabi sowing season, the 21st installment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana has been successfully transferred online. In Sillod taluka alone, a record 53,580 farmers have received a total of ₹107.16 crore directly into their bank accounts — the highest number so far for the region.
Compared to the previous installment, this cycle saw an increase of 12,350 more beneficiary farmers. The rise is attributed to the completion of essential formalities such as Aadhaar-bank linking, e-KYC verification, and correction of land records, which had previously kept thousands of eligible farmers out of the scheme.
Pending Farmers Included After Corrections
Over the past two to three installments, nearly 15,000 farmers were excluded due to incomplete documentation. However, with the support of gram sevaks and talathis, the required corrections were completed this time, enabling the inclusion of most pending beneficiaries.
Despite the progress, around 4,000–5,000 farmers in the taluka still have pending e-KYC or Aadhaar seeding. The administration has given a deadline till end of December for completing the process.
Compensation for Crop Loss Due to Heavy Rainfall
Sillod taluka faced severe crop damage during heavy rainfall in September and October. Following immediate surveys, the administration had proposed a relief package of ₹69.48 crore for 82,235 affected farmers.
Out of this, ₹41.96 crore has already been deposited into the accounts of 60,925 farmers, while nearly 21,000 farmers — lacking farmer IDs or land documentation — are still awaiting their compensation. Revenue officials have urged them to submit the required documents at the earliest.
₹47 Crore Assistance for Rabi Sowing
In addition to rain-damage compensation, farmers have also received financial support for the ongoing Rabi season. Under the assistance scheme offering ₹10,000 per hectare (up to a limit of 3 hectares), a total of ₹47.56 crore has been deposited into the accounts of 58,896 farmers in Sillod taluka.
Officials say the timely release of PM Kisan funds has offered critical support for farmers struggling with financial losses due to erratic weather conditions.
