Pimpri-Chinchwad | The proposed “Eco-Tourism Park” at Mouje Dudulgaon, which is set to enhance the tourism sector and add to the glory of Pimpri-Chinchwad city, is now gaining momentum. Maharashtra’s Forest Minister Ganesh Naik has assured that immediate funds will be made available through the State Forest Department for this project.

BJP MLA Mahesh Landge had demanded that Forest Minister Naik hold a detailed meeting regarding various pending demands related to the Forest Department. Accordingly, a meeting was held in Pune on Friday. Municipal Commissioner Shekhar Singh, Shomita Vishwas, Naresh Zhurmure, Vivek Khadekar, Mahadev Mohite, and other departmental officials were present at the meeting.

During the meeting, MLA Landge stated that the Eco-Tourism Park is to be developed through the State Forest Department on forest land at Mouje Dudulgaon within the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation limits. He demanded that funds be made available for the project. Additionally, he requested approval for the development of basic infrastructure for the Annabhau Sathe Nagar settlement, land transfer for a sanctioned road under the Development Plan, and a departmental response for the proposed 220/33 kV substation on Survey No. 646 at Mouje Moshi.

The Eco-Tourism Park is proposed to be developed on forest department-owned land at Dudulgaon. The project is estimated to require a budget of approximately ₹2.62 crore, which has been proposed under the Forest Department and the District Annual Plan for 2025–26. The proposal is currently pending. The required funds will be made available for the immediate implementation of the project.

“Funds for the Eco-Tourism Park will be made available immediately. A decision on the proposals submitted by the Municipal Corporation will be taken within the next 15 days. Also, the Forest Department will not obstruct the development of basic infrastructure for the Annabhau Sathe Nagar settlement,” assured Forest Minister Ganesh Naik. “This will help accelerate work related to the Forest Department,” said
