After Becoming President, Donald Trump Behind the Nobel Peace Prize
Why is Donald Trump in such a hurry to get the Nobel Prize?

National | U.S. President Donald Trump is ready to do anything to win the Nobel Peace Prize. Repeatedly, in his speeches, the subject of the Nobel Prize comes up. This raises the question—why has Donald Trump become so eager to get the Nobel Peace Prize? Just like former U.S. President Barack Obama, Trump wants to leave his mark. Like Obama, he too has been elected President twice. Now, he has his eyes set on the Nobel Prize. For this, he has received support from Pakistan and Israel. According to media reports, Trump even called Norway’s finance minister, demanding the Nobel Peace Prize. Clearly, Trump would not make such extreme efforts without a reason. Let us look at why Trump is so desperate for this award.
These Five Reasons are Responsible
-
Four previous U.S. Presidents have won the Nobel Peace Prize—Barack Obama, Theodore Roosevelt, Woodrow Wilson, and Jimmy Carter. Trump now wants to join this league, which is why he is ready to go to any lengths. Pakistan and Israel are backing him to secure the award.
-
There is a hidden rivalry between Donald Trump and Barack Obama. After becoming President, Trump tried to match Obama at every step. Like Obama, he managed to become President twice. Now, the Nobel Prize is his new obsession. At the time when Obama was awarded, America was still involved in many wars. Trump believes that if Obama could receive the award then, he too should get it “within 10 seconds.”
-
Pakistan, Cambodia, and Israel are busy declaring Trump as a great leader for their own selfish interests. America is extending maximum support to Israel, including approval for attacks on the Gaza Strip. The U.S. also helped secure the release of hostages in Gaza.
-
Therefore, efforts are underway to portray Trump as a messenger of peace. For the Nobel Prize, Trump has ensured, on average, at least one peace deal or ceasefire per month. He even claimed to have stopped a potential war between India and Pakistan, though India has repeatedly denied this. Yet Trump continues to highlight this claim.
-
Trump is deeply self-absorbed, unable to see anything beyond his own praise. Even though nothing is clear regarding the Nobel Prize, he continues to project himself as a global peace ambassador. On social media, his “self-love” is evident. He has claimed credit for several peace agreements, including Congo–Rwanda, India–Pakistan tensions, Egypt–Ethiopia, and Serbia–Kosovo.
