Parliament Monsoon Session LIVE News Updates: Both Houses of Parliament have resumed their proceedings after being adjourned multiple times. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will open the discussion on Operation Sindoor in Lok Sabha. Discussions on Operation Sindoor, Pahalgam attack, and US President Donald Trump’s claims of mediating a ceasefire between India and Pakistan will be taken up in the Lok Sabha today during a 16-hour-long session. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also arrived in Parliament. The Rajya Sabha is expected to take up the matter on Tuesday.

Oppn discussion on Op Sindoor: According to sources, the debate on Operation Sindoor for the Opposition in the Lok Sabha will be led by Congress Deputy Leader Gaurav Gogoi. Other speakers will include MPs Priyanka Gandhi Vadra (Wayanad), Deepender Singh Hooda (Rohtak), Praniti Shinde (Solapur, Maharashtra), Saptagiri Ulaka (Koraput, Odisha – ST), and Brijendra Singh Ola (Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan). Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi is expected to speak on the matter on the second day.

Protests over Bihar SIR: Protests over the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the voter list in Bihar continued outside the Parliament on Day 6 of the Monsoon Session, with Opposition MPs demanding that the Election Commission of India halt the exercise. Several MPs of the INDIA bloc parties, including Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge and Congress parliamentary party chairperson Sonia Gandhi, joined the protest in the Parliament House complex on Monday.
